Bristol Parkway railway station, operated by First Great Western, is in the Stoke Gifford area of Bristol and lies on the Great Western Main Line. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, public wifi, a cafe overlooking the tracks, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.

The station has three platforms, unusually numbered 2, 3 and 4. Platform 2 serves trains to the west towards Wales and Bristol Temple Meads. Platform 3 serves mainly inter city trains towards London and Birmingham New Street. Platform 4 serves trains destined for mainly local services.

Passengers services calling at the station are operated by First Great Western and CrossCountry. Bristol Parkway was the first of a new generation of park and ride railway stations, and a large number of passengers use it for that purpose. Over the period 2002–2012, the number of passengers starting or ending a journey at Bristol Parkway grew by 1 million passengers per year to 2.25 million.

Parking is available at the station for 1,140 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry, East Midlands Trains, First TransPennine Express, Northern Rail and Virgin Trains.

Parking is available at the station for 856 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day. The station is accessible for disabled people and has escalators and lifts to all levels, wide-access doors and gates, braille signs, hearing loops and disabled toilet facilities. Cycle racks are available on Fairfield Street and the long-stay car park and next to the tower block at the station front. In March 2010, Manchester City Council and Network Rail unveiled plans for a 'Cycle Centre' to provide secure facilities, with maintenance and hire services.
