Lichfield Trent Valley railway station, operated by London Midland, serves the Staffordshire city of Lichfield and is located on the outskirts of the town, 1 mile to the north east of the city centre. The station is one of two railway stations serving the city (the other being Lichfield City) and lies on the West Coast Main Line, which connects London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and the Central Belt of Scotland, and the Cross-City Line, which runs from Redditch to Birmingham New Street. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include pay phones and toilets. Passengers should note that ATM's or baby changing facilities are not available at the station.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by London Midland and Virgin Trains. Between them passengers are offered destinations which include London Euston, Rugby, Milton Keynes Central, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester Piccadilly and Glasgow Central.

All of these stations are in Travelcard Zone 1.
