Destinations available include Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley, Birmingham New Street, Preston, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Manchester Piccadilly, Stockport, Liverpool Lime Street, Chester, Tring, Milton Keynes Central, Northampton and Watford Junction. Overnight sleeper services are also available to Aberdeen via Kilkcaldy and Dundee, Fort William via Dalmuir and Inverness via Stirling and Perth.Parking is available at the station for 217 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Virgin Trains and Arriva Trains Wales.There are hourly services from Holyhead to Birmingham International and to Cardiff Central, via Chester, Wrexham and Shrewsbury. There is also an hourly stopping service between Llandudno and Manchester Piccadilly. Facilities at the station include pay phones and toilets. Passengers should note that ATM's and baby changing facilities are not available at the station. Parking is available at the station for 100 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.
