London Liverpool Street railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a central London railway station located in the north eastern corner of the City of London. It is the terminus of the West Anglia Main Line which runs from London Liverpool Street north through Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Audley End (near Saffron Walden) to Cambridge, with branches serving Hertford and Stansted Airport. It is also the terminus of the Great Eastern Main Line which connects Liverpool Street with destinations in east London and the East of England. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

The station has three main exits: to Liverpool Street, after which the station is named; to Bishopsgate; and to the Broadgate development to the west of the station. The Underground station connects the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, and is in fare zone 1.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, bureau de change, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes and shops, toilets and baby changing facilities and tourist information office.

Stowmarket railway station is operated by Greater Anglia and is located on the Great Eastern Main Line which connects London Liverpool Street to Norwich and Ipswich. The station also lies at the junction of the line to Bury St Edmunds. Passenger services calling at the station are also operated by Greater Anglia.

The station was opened by the Ipswich and Bury Railway in 1846 with red brick main buildings built in a Jacobean manner by Frederick Barnes. The buildings, which are Grade II listed, were restored in 1987.

Stowmarket lies on the River Gipping, which is joined by its tributary, the River Rat, to the south of the town.
