London Paddington Kemble stations

London Paddington Train Station

London Paddington railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a main line railway station and terminus for the First Great Western services to west London, the Thames Valley and long distance inter city services to south west England and South Wales. The station is also the terminus for the Heathrow Express, a high speed service linking central London with Heathrow Airport. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Passenger facilities at the station include ATM's, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes and shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.

Passenger services departing the station are operated by First Great Western, Chiltern Railways and Heathrow Express. Between them they offer passengers destinations including Heathrow Airport, Reading, Didcot Parkway, Swindon, Bristol Temple Meads, Bath Spa, Cardiff Central, Bristol Parkway, Newbury, Exeter St Davids and Chippenham.

London Paddington is also served by four London Underground lines: the Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines. Although Paddington is not served by the Central line, the short walk to Lancaster Gate tube station is taken by many commuters heading for the West End or the City, as it can be quicker than alternative routes.

Parking is available at the station for 152 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Kemble Train Station

Located in Gloucestershire, Kemble railway station offers passengers destinations including London Paddington, Gloucester, Cheltenham Spa and Swindon.

Kemble railway station is operated by First Great Western and is located on the Swindon to Gloucester "Golden Valley" Line. Passenger services calling at the station are also operated by First Great Western. The station is served on a Monday to Friday by 18 Swindon bound trains, 8 of which continue to London Paddington via Reading and also by 18 Gloucester bound trains, 17 of which continue to Cheltenham Spa. This results in an off peak service of one train every two hours to London, with trains to Swindon, Cheltenham and Gloucester every hour. Occasionally, the station is served by Cardiff Central/Swansea services which have been diverted during engineering works.

Facilities at the station include pay phones, cafe and toilets. Passengers should note that ATM's and baby changing facilities are not available at the station. Parking is available at the station for 220 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
