London St Pancras railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a main line railway station in central London. The station building is Grade I listed and is located on the Euston Road. London King's Cross railway station is adjacent to St Pancras and London Euston is less than 1 km along the Euston Road to the west. The station is the terminus for East Midlands Trains services from London to Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, and smaller towns en route, and for Eurostar's high speed trains to Paris, Brussels and Lille. First Capital Connect trains on the cross-London Thameslink route call at platforms beneath the main station, south to Gatwick Airport and Brighton and north to Luton Airport Parkway for Luton Airport and Bedford. It is also the terminus for high speed domestic services to Kent, run by Southeastern. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, bureau de change, First Class Lounge, pay phones, cafes and shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by East Midlands Trains, Southeastern, First Capital Connect and Eurostar. Between them passengers are offered destinations that include Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Leeds, Chatham, Faversham, Ashford International, Canterbury West, Folkestone, Dover, Luton and Bedford. International destinations available are Paris, Brussels and Lille.

Beeston Train Station

The Nottinghamshire railway station of Beeston offers passengers services towards London, Nottingham, Loughborough, Leicester, Market Harborough, Kettering, Wellingborough, Bedford, Luton Airport Parkway, Birmingham New Street, Derby and Reading.

The railway station is located on the Midland Main Line which connects London St. Pancras station to the northern city of Sheffield via Luton, Bedford, Kettering, Leicester, East Midlands Parkway, Derby/Nottingham and Chesterfield. The station is operated by East Midlands trains who also operate some of the passenger services calling at the station along with CrossCountry.

There are no WC or ATM facilities at the station although there is a cafe. Parking is available at the station for approximately 20 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day. The Derby-Nottingham section of Route 6 of the National Cycle Network passes by the station and provides a traffic free cycle route to the University of Nottingham.

The station was built in 1839 for the Midland Counties Railway and services began in 1839. In 1844 the Midland Counties Railway joined with the North Midland Railway and the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway to form the Midland Railway. Beeston was the first station from Nottingham and at the time it was very popular with people from the city who wished to spend a day in the countryside.
