Nottingham railway station, operated by East Midlands Trains, serves the Nottinghamshire city of Nottingham and lies on the Midland Main Line which connects London St. Pancras station to the northern city of Sheffield via Luton, Bedford, Kettering, Leicester, East Midlands Parkway, Derby/Nottingham and Chesterfield. The station is also located on a number of other lines including the line to Cardiff, the line from Leicester to Lincoln and the Robin Hood Line from Nottingham to Worksop. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, First Class Lounge, pay phones, cafes, shops and toilets. Passenger should note that baby changing facilities are not available at the station.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by East Midlands Trains, CrossCountry and Northern Rail. Between them passenger services operated towards destinations that include London St Pancras, Leicester, Market Harborough, Loughborough, Luton Airport Parkway, Liverpool Lime Street, Sheffield, Manchester Piccadilly, Warrington Central, Norwich, Worksop, Skegness, Matlock, Derby, Birmingham New Street and Leeds.

Parking is available at the station for 512 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Cardiff Central Train Station

Located in South Wales, Cardiff Central railway station offers passengers services to destinations including Ebbw Vale Parkway, Nottingham, Birmingham New Street, Derby, Cheltenham Spa, Swansea, London Paddington, Bristol Parkway, Manchester Piccadilly, Bristol Temple Meads and many other destinations in Wales.

The railway station, operated by Arriva Trains Wales, is located on the South Wales Line which is a branch of the Great Western Main Line. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry and First Great Western.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, a First Class Lounge, pay phones, cafe, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities. Parking is available at the station for 248 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day. The station is ideally located for passengers travelling into Cardiff to the Millennium Stadium which is in the city centre.

There are two entrances to the station. The main entrance, to the north, leads to the main concourse and is on Central Square, the plaza that is also home to Cardiff Central bus station, a multi-storey car park and two main city centre taxi ranks. Three main city centre landmarks are visible from here: the Millennium Stadium, Stadium House and Southgate House.
