Rugby railway station, operated by Virgin Trains, serves the Warwickshire town of Rugby and is approximately half a mile from the town centre and is the town's only railway station. The station lies on the West Coast Main Line which connects London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and the Central Belt of Scotland. The station is approximately 80 miles of London Euston railway station and 320 miles south of Glasgow Central railway station. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Virgin Trains and London Midland. London Euston railway station is operated by Network Rail and is the southern terminus of the West Coast Main Line which connects London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and the Central Belt of Scotland. The station is also the London terminus for London Midland services and for services on the Watford DC Line. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by First ScotRail, London Midland and Virgin Trains.

The station is connected to Euston tube station and is also near Euston Square tube station on the London Underground. It is a short walk from London King's Cross Station, the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line, and St Pancras International Station for the Midland Main Line and Eurostar to France and Belgium. All of these stations are in Travelcard Zone 1.
