Salzburg Overview

Salzburg is Austria’s fourth largest city, divided by the banks of the Salzach River. Its two sides are very distinctive from one another: The Kapuzinerberg is on the left bank and the Monchesberg is on the right bank.

Known for being Mozart’s home town where he grew up as well as where the film ‘Sound of Music’ was set with the Von Trapp Family, this city has a lot more history and beauty to it.

The amazing landscapes and scenery from the film are as charming if not more in real life!
Its amazing setting will make you fall in love with this historic city. With Hohensalzburg Castle dominating the city, you will have plenty of other monuments, buildings, churches and of course the Salzburg Cathedral (Dom) to visit.

This city will charm you.
