Situated on the Southport-Hunts Cross route of the Northern Line of the Merseyrail suburban system, Aigburth railway station serves the Aigburth district of Liverpool, England. The station was originally named Mersey Road & Aigburth and opened in 1864. From 2006 the Monday to Saturday evening service was increased to run every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes previously.
