Brighton racecourse

Brighton Racecourse is located on Whitehawk Hill on the edge of the South Downs about 400 feet above sea level and about 1 mile from the coast. Racing has taken place on the site of the racecourse since 1783. The track takes the form of a horseshoe one and a half miles in length. It is one of the few British racecourse not to form a complete circuit.

A courtesy bus service operates from Brighton railway station to the course from approximately 2 hours prior to the first race.
