Swansea City Association Football Club were founded in 1912 as Swansea Town and changed their name to Swansea City to reflect Swansea's new city status. The club currently (2013-14 season) compete in the Premier League, the top tier of English Football. They play their home matches at the 20,750 capacity Liberty Stadium.
