The city centre and the Queensgate shopping centre in a few minutes walk from the station.Passenger services calling at the station are operated by CrossCountry, East Coast, East Midlands Trains, First Capital Connect and Greater Anglia. Passenger services generally depart towards London King's Cross, Leeds, Newcastle Central, Edinburgh Waverley, York, Cambridge, Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street, Nottingham, Sheffield, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.Parking is available at the station for 731 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Located in Essex, Stansted Airport railway station offers passengers services to destinations including London Liverpool Street (using the Stansted Express), Cambridge, Birmingham New Street, Peterborough, Leicester and Bishops Stortford.Stansted Airport railway station is operated by Greater Anglia and is located at the end of a short branch line off the West Anglia Main Line which connects London Liverpool Street with Ipswich and Norwich. The principal service to the station is the Stansted Express, a dedicated airport link service from London Liverpool Street operated by Greater Anglia, which runs every 15 minutes. Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, public wifi, cafes, shops and toilets. Passengers should note that baby changing facilities are not available at the station. Parking is available at the station for 5,000 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
